Hello & welcome to my website!

I’m Dr. Dana - a Licensed Psychologist and busy mom to an adorable three-year-old little girl and sweet seven-year-old little boy.

In August 2021, I opened my first solo practice on the bottom level of a quaint little house in the heart of Towson. I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families and I have been in private practice for the past five years.

Being a Child Psychologist has been my dream since I was in high school. I have always loved working with children and started my career as a Nanny with families in the Towson area while attending Towson University as an undergraduate student studying Psychology and Criminal Justice.

In 2002, I got my first job at Johns Hopkins University as a Research Interviewer conducting mental health interviews with high school students in Baltimore City Public Schools.

I continued to work with Johns Hopkins University and colleagues for 16 years implementing evidence-based interventions with children, adolescents, parents, teachers & other school staff.

Along the way, I obtained a Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in School Psychology from the University of Missouri as well as a Master’s Degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.

I have provided services in school, clinic, residential treatment, university, and community settings, and family’s homes.

I have experience working in suburban, urban/disadvantaged, and rural schools in Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County, Baltimore City, Missouri, Montana, and California.

One of the amazing opportunities I had at Hopkins was writing and publishing, along with colleagues, two books on implementing evidence-based interventions in schools:

1) “Group Interventions in Schools: A Guide for Practitioners”

2) “A Step-By-Step Guide for Coaching Classroom Teachers in Evidence-Based Interventions.”

I am very passionate about working with children, adolescents and their families to provide comprehensive services to support their mental health, behavior, academic, and social-emotional needs so they can learn, be successful in school, and flourish in life!

I specialize in...

- Anxiety/Stress

- Academic/Learning problems

- ADHD/Attention Problems

- Anger/Emotion Regulation

- Behavior Problems

- Depression/Grief

- Parenting/Co-parenting

- Bullying

- Social Skills
